Stanley Kubrick
Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999) was an American filmmaker, photographer, screenwriter and producer. Kubrick worked as a photographer for Look magazine before he started making films in the 1950s. His best-known and most celebrated films include Spartacus (1960), Lolita (1962), Dr. Strangelove (1964), A Clockwork Orange (1971), 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), The Shining (1980), Full Metal Jacket (1987) and Eyes Wide Shut (1999). His thirteen feature films in a 46-year career have made him one of the most important filmmakers of the 20th century.
