Fritz Lang Retrospective at CINEMATEK

CINEMATEK presents a major retrospective dedicated to Fritz Lang, running through 28 February. From the silent era to sound, from Weimar Germany to Hollywood, Lang’s work charts the evolution of cinema itself. The programme brings together key films from across his career, including Doktor Mabuse, der Spieler, M – Eine Stadt sucht einen Mörder, and Metropolis.

The complete 2010 restoration of Metropolis, reconstructed following the 2008 discovery of a near-complete print in Buenos Aires, will be screened on 30 December. In addition, CINEMATEK presents a special coloured version with a score by Giorgio Moroder on 2 January.
