Festival En Ville ! 2026

The En ville ! Film Festival returns to Brussels for its 7th edition, taking place in the city’s cinemas from 26 January to 1 February. A vibrant snapshot of contemporary Belgian and international non-fiction cinema, the festival brings together 27 films, including 18 Belgian premieres, to explore territories, imaginaries, and the people who inhabit and shape them. The festival opens tonight at Cinéma Palace with IMAGO by Déni Oumar Pitsaev, presented in its Brussels premiere. The closing film, on 1 February at Cinéma Palace, is Soulèvements by Thomas Lacoste, shown in the presence of the director.
Among the festival’s highlights are several Belgian premieres, including Hair, Paper, Water (Truong Minh Quy & Nicolas Graux, 2025), Wishful Filming (Sarah Vanagt, 2025), and Les recommencements (Vivianne Perelmuter & Isabelle Ingold, 2025). The programme also unfolds through a series of focus strands, with special attention to Spanish cinema (in collaboration with the Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola), a focus on Palestine, and a dedicated section for young Belgian cinema, alongside talks and encounters that extend the festival beyond the screen.
